And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. –Philippians 4:7
In the midst of the storms of life, I have the peace of Jesus Christ through His Holy Spirit. It surrounds me, it encourages me, it gives me hope, and it spurs me onward toward a destination that only God could plan in such a way that is both for my good and to bring glory to His name.
For we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, to the called, according to His purposes. -Romans 8:28
When my world is crumbling around me, the peace of God allows me to stand firm. When my motives are questioned and my name is slandered, His peace allows my mind to rest. When the world pushes against me from all sides, His peace prevents me from being shattered.
I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. -John 16:33
If the road ahead seems rugged and I cannot see the way, His peace guides me. If my path becomes steep and I am nearing exhaustion, His peace strengthens me.
Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing can make them stumble. -Psalm 119:165
When my heart is broken and my spirit crushed, His peace allows me to trust again. When I think I have nothing left to give, His peace reminds me it wasn’t mine to begin with.
Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. -2 Corinthians 13:11
Now may the God of peace- who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with His blood- may He equip you with all you need for doing His will. May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him. All glory to Him forever and ever! Amen. -Hebrews 13:20-21
