I did this craft with my church group of kids ages 3-Kindergarten. They turned out GREAT! Some kids were very careful about their patterns, and others just randomly stuck some one. Either way, they all looked good. It took a lot of prep time to get things ready, but it was well worth it. If you have older kids, you likely wouldn’t have to prep as much.
For this craft you’ll need: Contact Paper, Black Construction Paper, Tissue Paper, Glue, Black Marker.
1. Cut the fish middle out of contact paper. You will need two for each fish.
2. Cut out the black fish outline and tail. Be sure to make the outline larger than your contact paper. I chose cut out the tail separately and glue on.
3. Glue the front of one piece of contact paper onto the back of the black outlined paper. Let dry a little before you peel the back of the contact paper off.
4. Cut pieces of tissue paper and stick to the contact paper. Once finished, peel the backing off of the other piece of contact paper and put that over the tissue paper.
5. Draw a smile face and admire your work through the window!
